The Rides

The Hot Cycles Sunday ride leaves at 7am from outside the shop (gets us on the road early - less traffic). The routes are rotated on a 5 week cycle. We sometimes change the route for different and exciting routes like catching the ferry and going over the shore and riding home. If you are not on the e-mail list you could miss out so join the mailing list here

The Group is oriented towards beginning and social cyclists - the focus is on everyone staying together so the entire group stops if one person punctures and waits at places along the way to regroup.

Ride 1 - Easy

Airport 65km – Just the standard airport loop. Sometimes we do change this and do it reverse. Click here for map

Ride 2 - Hard - THIS IS A HARD RIDE so if you are unsure please CALL.

Whitford Gorge then Tuscany - Airport 90km – Not for the faint hearted. Click here for map

Ride 3. Medium

Whitford Gorge 45km – This is a ride introduced for the riders that like the ride 1 course and need something else as a stepping stone to the other rides. Leaving from the shop and heading towards Howick, then though the Whitford gorge, up Sandstone then back to Hot Cycles.Click here for map

Ride 4. Hard

Hunua Range 95KM – We head towards Botany, turn onto Te Irirangi Dr, up Hollyford St. Once at the top we head to Alfriston, then Papakura through the Hunua range, back through Clevedon, Twilight, Sandstone then back to Hot Cycles.

Ride 5. Medium

Maraetai 80KM – Leaving from the shop and heading towards Howick, then though the Whitford gorge, heading to Maretai beach and then to Clevedon, Twilight, Sandstone then back to Hot Cycles. Click here for map

Every Thursday at 9.30am, meeting at Hot Cycles - this is a Social group in "RED" Ride time approx. 2 hours.

Every Saturday at 7am, meeting at Hot Cycles - this is a much faster group in "RED"
